How it works:
DAIYA can cover his entire body (or individual parts) with diamonds making him really strong and bullet proof etc.
About:
DAIYA originally just stopped criminals from stealing from jewellery shops (due to Taira working at one and getting sick of people stealing from it which is why he became DAIYA in the first place) but he now holds a great sense of justice and protects people to the best of his ability, all be it in a rather glamorous and flamboyant style.
Differences/similarities between DAIYA and his Secret identity Taira:
DAIYA is flamboyant and openly shows his homosexual sexuality whereas Taira is very quiet and is still rather reluctant to admit his sexuality, which is why he acts the way he does when he is DAIYA to let out the feelings he keeps bottled up inside himself. The only trait both share is their strong sense of justice.
Other:
- the superhero name ‘DAIYA’ is a reference to the Japanese word for diamond.
- he loves jewels of any kind.
